4 weeks old already!!!!

Yesterday marked Aidan's 4th week of life! He's a whopping 9lbs 2 oz and 21.5 inches long. Each day he is growing bigger and bigger.

Aidan's Arrival

As most of you now know, Aidan was born on October 12, 2008 at 4:17 pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz and measured 18.5 inches. The labor and delivery went just as planned.

A couple of weeks after Aidan was born it was determined that he was jaundice and had become dehydrated, so he was admitted to CHOC for a couple of days. He is now much better, he's just having some acid reflux problems but is being followed closely by his doctor so we expect that he will be fine.

Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since I've written to you, much has happened since the last time. Steven and I were blessed with two wonderful baby showers, my belly has grown week by week, and we've prepared for Aidan's arrival.

Last Tuesday October 7, 2oo8 during our last OB visit (38 weeks), we were told that I was progressing quite quickly and was nearly 4 cm dilated. The doctor explained that he felt the baby would come within the week and proceeded to plan a scheduled induction. He looked at Steven and I and asked "What day do you guys want to have the baby?" Just like that, Steven and I were given the shortest 5 minutes to determine the day we wanted for Aidan's Birthday. We decided on the last day of the week, in hope that this would give little Aidan some time to come on his own. So as we walked out of our appointment we stopped at the reception desk and scheduled our delivery for Sunday October 12, 2008 at 8:30 am.

These past few days have been quite nerve wrecking, the anticipation of Aidan's arrival has been exhausting to say the least. But there is something to say about having things planned. My last day at work was Wednesday Oct 8th which has given me two days to dedicate time to Destiny. We've also had the opportunity to take care of the last minute things that most families don't get to do while they make the mad dash out to the hospital.

So now that everyone has the latest and greatest, I ask that you keep us in your prayers as we make our way to the hospital tomorrow morning. We hope that our delivery is quick and according to plan, or as close to our birthing plan as possible. We will be sure to contact everyone once Aidan is here :)

It's a BOY!!!!!!!!!

We finally had our OB visit and ultrasound yesterday June 4, 2008. We had the pleasure of having "mom" (Rachel) with us as we confirmed that we are indeed having a boy! I've posted the ultrasound picture's we got yesterday, starting with "the million dollar shot".

Unfortunately, the baby was being extremely lazy and was not moving for us so the ultrasound tech patiently awaited to see if the baby would flip over onto his back so that we could see his precious little face, but no luck :( Instead, we got some partial nudity and a great look at his spine and skull.

Steven and I took our moms out to breakfast for an early Mother's Day, beach side in Laguna .... It was nice to be able to spend time with them together. We're hoping to do this again next year!

My visit last Tuesday...

Well we went to my OB visit last Tuesday (May 6th), to find out that I won't have my ultrasound until June 4th :(

I might just take cousin Tanya up on her offer and visit her to have another ultrasound :) You can never get tired of seeing the baby. It's always amazing!

The Latest...

We finally had a chance to scan the ultrasounds of the baby. They are posted in descending order.....

Just yesterday Steven and I decided to go find out what our baby's gender is, and we are happy to announce that we're having a "Baby Boy"!!! We have our next OB visit this coming Tuesday May 6th, the doctor should definitively confirm the baby's gender then. Needless, to say that we are absolutely ecstatic!!!!
